Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a Regulatory Facilitator, you’ll play a critical role in building the capability, confidence and consistency of our Compliance team. You’ll plan, design and deliver high‑quality training programmes that support accurate, consistent and customer‑focused regulatory practice.
This is a hands‑on role combining training delivery, coaching and mentoring, quality assessment, and continuous improvement—helping our kaimahi confidently apply legislation and deliver excellent service to our communities.
This role plays a key part in ensuring legislation is applied accurately and consistently, while supporting an excellent customer experience across our regulatory services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering ongoing training programmes for Compliance kaimahi
- Developing and delivering technical, legislative and soft‑skills training
- Coaching, mentoring and assessing staff to strengthen capability and consistency
- Monitoring training effectiveness and recommending improvements
- Maintaining accurate training records and supporting audit requirements
- Contribute to Treaty partnership outcomes and support the organisation’s cultural capability journey.

Mōu │ About You
You have experience in adult learning and thrive on building capability and translating complex information into accessible practical learning. You’ll have a collaborative, values‑led approach and confidence working with diverse groups.
Mātau ā-Wheako | Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Teaching, or equivalent experience in adult learning
- At least five years’ experience in training, coaching or mentoring
- Experience designing and delivering training using best‑practice adult learning methodologies
- Strong communication skills and confidence working in a regulatory or policy environment
- Sound digital capability, including learning systems and training technologies
Experience working alongside iwi or supporting Te Tiriti partnership outcomes is highly valued.
