As a regional council, we are responsible for managing natural resources including air, soil, water and land. We work in partnership with mana whenua Ngāi Tahu to protect the health of our environment to ensure a sustainable and prosperous future for our region.

Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role
This fixed-term role supports the delivery of projects and practices that directly align to support and enable the delivery of Public Transport’s wider business strategic and operational outcomes, utilising the organisation’s project management best practice.
You’ll coordinate the effective implementation of projects from commencement to completion, actively promoting and fostering teamwork and collaboration to deliver goals and meet timelines and deliverables. You’ll also undertake analysis, interpretation, evaluation and monitoring of data and information across a range of Public Transport projects, presenting insights to enable informed decision-making and efficient reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting project delivery aligned with strategic outcomes
- Coordinating projects using robust methodologies
- Liaising with leaders, technical staff, and governance groups
- Presenting data and insights to inform decisions
- Promoting collaboration and continuous improvement

You’ll be a confident communicator and natural collaborator, with a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes through well-managed projects. You’ll bring a mix of technical capability, relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Mātau ā-Wheako | Experience
Ideally, you’ll have a relevant qualification to graduate level along with:
- At least three years of experience in a similar project coordination role
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement
