Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Take ownership of all stages from scoping, designing, planning, and delivery of new and on-going initiatives such as our response to cruise ship passenger demand and forthcoming response to event spectator demand from One New Zealand Stadium Te Kaha.
More about the role:
- Weigh up risks, customer feedback and value for money considerations to develop and deliver innovative solutions to problems
- Oversee, optimise and report on on-going initiatives to support the delivery of public transport services
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure co-ordinated delivery of initiatives.
- Scope, advise on and support procurement of the necessary resources to deliver initiatives as required
- Write and prepare papers, presentations briefings & other relevant communications, making recommendations & providing advice to management & Council on the relevant stages of initiatives

Mōu │ About You
You’ll be a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude who thrives on taking ownership of projects and solving problems.
Ideally, you’ll be tertiary qualification in transport planning, event management or related discipline, or the equivalent in practical on the job experience including 5 years' experience in in a similar role.
More about you:
- Experience delivering bus operations for events or ad-hoc services
- Strong communication skills and ability to think critically and identify data sources that can be used to inform decision making
- Experience in preparing evidence-based reports, presentations and papers for senior management and / or Councils / Boards.
