Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As a Senior Strategic Advisor, you’ll play a key role within the People, Safety and Wellbeing team.  This role has a strategic focus to health safety & wellbeing documentation, legislation, standards and regulation. Championing the health safety and wellbeing culture and behaviour change initiatives and continuous improvement across the organisation.More about the role:

  • Contribute  and lead, the reviews of the Health and Safety Management Plan and wellbeing strategies
  • Support information sharing and impart knowledge with the wider HSW team, people leaders and teams
  • Provide expert advice/input into the identification and management of risks that are known or identified as emerging risksContinuous improvement of the document control programme for HSW

You’ll have a comprehensive understanding of legislation, standards and regulations along with a proven record of delivering strategic direction, policies and procedures. You’ll be a natural team player with excellent communication skills, positivity and a desire for enduring outcomes.

Mātau ā-Wheako | Experience  

  • A relevant health and safety qualification eg Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalency
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a health and safety partner or senior advisor
  • Significant experience in developing and implementing health safety and wellbeing policy and procedure
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety audit systems
  • Advanced knowledge of legislation, standards and regulations
