Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As the Rivers Planning Advisor, you’ll be part of the resource management planning team that ensures permissions are in place to undertake and protect Environment Canterbury’s flood and river resilience work (includes flood and erosion protection, land drainage and river enhancement works).

Apply for resource consents on behalf of the Council, and provide technical and affected parties’ advice on resource consent applications by others, or Regional and District plan changes, that may impact the delivery of our flood resilience programs
Mōu │ About You
You’ll be a confident communicator, someone who connects easily with the community and capable of building relationships across all levels of the organisation. Your someone who is self-motivated, pro-active and has the ability to prioritise a varied workload. Additionally, you’ll be able to work as part of a project team but also be able to work autonomously.
Mātau ā-Wheako | Experience
You’ll be tertiary qualified in Planning, Natural Resources, Environmental Management, or other relevant discipline. You’ll be a competent resource management practitioner, practically minded, and have an interest in rivers.
