Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role

The Solutions Architect role designing digitally-enabled cutting-edge solutions for data gathering and analysis systems, cloud infrastructure or back office application initiatives, the Solutions Architect will work in partnership with business SME’s, project managers, business analysts, our internal technical teams, and vendors to contribute to, and lead the successful delivery of business outcomes and innovation.

The Architecture team ensures we have fit-for-purpose technology solutions that support the strategic objectives. Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, you will provide a range of Architecture services to support and enable our business partners across the organisation.

This is a fixed term vacancy 40 hours per week to backfill an existing position till the end of June 2025.

Mōu │ About You

As a Solutions Architect, ideally, you’ll be tertiary qualification with an emphasis on Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Along with a minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership role designing and implementing business software solutions. 

You’ll have the ability to understand technologies and love continuously learning latest trends and technologies as you work with the Enterprise Architect to seek and improve business processes with software, services, or hardware.  

To enjoy this role, you’ll have:

  • Track record in solution architecture with expertise in designing and delivering complex IT solutions using out-of-the-box components
  • Strong technical knowledge across various technologies, including cloud platforms and integration patterns
  • The ability to develop strategic roadmaps, manage stakeholder relationships, and provide innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills that can clearly impart ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Adaptability, with experience in leading and mentoring initiatives
  • Relevant certifications and experience in a similar environment will be advantageous
