Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role 

As an Information Management Technical Lead, your key focus is to lead the management and implementation of M365, SharePoint and our workflow system. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring that the design and deployment of these systems align with legislative requirements while enhancing user efficiency and discovery across the organisation. Your technical insights and dedication to promoting best practices will contribute to the success and innovation of our information management processes. 

Other things this role will do: 

  • Implement the technical elements of the information management strategy specially M365.  

  • Manage, configure, and implement Council’s enterprise information management systems. 

  • Mentor and upskill Knowledge Management Advisors and Officers around M365 tools and functionalities.  

  • Collaborate with various organisational units and outside entities, promoting adherence to relevant policies and procedures 

Mōu │ About You 

Ideally, you’ll be tertiary qualified with a Microsoft Certification or the willingness to acquire one.   

You’re an experienced professional with M365 experience, driven by a passion for implementing effective information management solutions. Your analytical thinking, leadership skills, and dedication to continuous improvement make you an ideal fit for our team. With a customer-focused approach, you understand how to tailor solutions to meet user needs while adhering to legal requirements. Whilst no direct reports your ability to mentor and coach others, lead organisational change, and communicate across all levels of the organisation is essential to your success in this role. 

  • Technical experience as an administrator in CRM, ERDMS, M365, or other information systems 

  • An understanding of Information Management best practices and legal requirements for local government is an advantage

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen to complex problems and apply an information management lens to system and solution design 

  • A collaborative team player, committed to achieving outcomes and leading change within the organisation

  • Experience implementing workflows using electronic workflow systems to enhance information processes, e.g., Nintex
